Bhirgu Lake is located at 4300 meters above the sea level. It is said that the Maharishi Bhrigu, who wrote the original astrology book stayed here and meditated near the holy waters of the lake. The local people believe because of this fact the waters of the Bhrigu Lake never freeze. You can reach this place from Manali on foot by trekking or you can also approach from Gulaba village.

The main event of this place is when the Kullu gods visit this place once a year to take a dip in water and pay their obeisance. Maharishi Vashisht from nearby Vashisht village also pays a visit in three to four years.
