Kothi village is located on the foothills of Rohtang Pass and is just 13 kilometers away from the Manali’s main bus stand. The place is situated along the Lahaul-Spiti-Leh Highway. It is well connected with Manali and the neighbourhood areas by taxis, buses and ponies. Kothi village is also connected by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Transport to the state. Some private bus services also provide services to visit Kothi. The nearest airport is Kullu Bhuntar Airport which is just 49 kilometers away.

If you are driving the private car from Manali to Kothi, you should start from Manali’s main bus stop. From there, you need to head towards the NH21 or National Highway 21. Then you need to take the road which goes towards the Rohtang Pass. Kothi is located on that road.

Best Season to visit Kothi in Manali

As Kothi is located at the foothills of the Rohtang Pass, the winters are severe, when the snow reaches on the mountain peaks. It is very dangerous to visit this area from to December to March as the Rohtang Pass is closed by the authorities for any person. The best season to visit this place is from May to October, when this place is at its best. But, the people who visit this area for adventure sports should keep all the provisions in their backpack such as medicines, sturdy shoes, warm clothing and sufficient food materials. They should also include binoculars and the sleeping bags in the supplies.
