Seruvalsar Lake

This is a high altitude lake which is located at a height of about 3100 m. This lake is surrounded with dense Pine forest which adds more to the beauty of Seruvalsar Lake. This lake is located about 20 km away from Ani Village on the way to Jalori Pass. The resident birds living near this lake pick up any leave that falls in the lake water thereby the water of this beautiful lake remains spotless. Seruvalsar Lake


The best time to visit Seruvalsar Lake is from November to May. Travelers can reach Jalori Pass by road from Manali. It is an ideal picnic spot and weekend destination for the families and travel freaks.  Many like to visit the nearby Tibetan Monasteries during their visit to Seruvalsar Lake.

Dashir Lake in Manali

Dashir Lake in Manali is one of the most beautiful lakes of the region. Its location is near the Rohtang Pass, the pass that connects Lahaul and Kullu District. For the nature lover, Dashir Lake is a must to visit place. The crystal clear water of this lake along with an amazing backdrop of waterfalls, mountain cliffs and small Himachali houses and the green valley around take the visitors away from all worldly disturbances. The serenity of the surrounding will make one feel like staying for hours around this lake.

The water of Dashir Lake is considered as holy by the local people. They believe that taking dip into this lake cure them from different diseases. The lake is about 3-4 meters deep. You will get to see huge pile of rocks at the foot of this lake. These rocks are placed with different geometrical precision and nobody is allowed to take away any of these rocks as it is considered as an ill-omen by the local people.

Dashir Lake in Manali


The best time to visit this lake is from November-May. One can travel through Manali Highway to reach Dashir Lake. From Manali, one can hire cabs or private cars to reach Rohtang Pass. From Rohtang Pass, the lake is only few minutes’ drive. During their visit, travelers can also enjoy visiting Solang Valley, Gulaba, Marhi and other tourist spots around Dashir Lake.

Bhrigu Lake

The breathtaking landscapes surrounding Lake Brighu and its cool clear water make it an ideal destination for the travelers who   look for solitude away from the chaotic city life. Brhigu Lake is situated on the east direction of Rohtang Pass and is only 6 km from Gulaba Camp, a popular adventure destination of Manali. The lake is considered as a pious lake as it is associated with the famous sage of Hindu Mythology, Sage Brighu. The lake is located at a height of 4,235 m and it is about 3-4 meters deep.

Adventure enthusiasts keep coming to this lake for trekking and camping. No human settlement is there on the banks of this lake. The best time to visit this lake is during the summers and before snowfall starts so that trekking and camping can be done without any hassle. One can hire cabs or private cars to reach here. Lake Brighu falls on the way of many trek routes of Himachal Pradesh and often visited by trekkers and campers.
